New 140,000-Square-Foot Shopping to Welcome First Tenants in 2019

RealtyLink LLC, a real estate developer based in Greenville, SC, broke ground on Nexton Square, a shopping center development in Summerville, SC. The development, which will be located at the intersection of US Highway 17-A and Brighton Park Blvd., will contain 140,000 square feet of retail space. The developer originally acquired the 15.67-acre site in June 2017, according to CoStar data.

The development will serve as a hub to the Nexton residential development, featuring a mix of apartments and homes connected by walking and bike trails. Nexton Square plans to bring in more than 40 retailers and restaurants to the development, which has already been preleased by Halls Chophouse, Taco Boy, Fuji Sushi, Optical Impressions, Chatime & Ice Cream Café, The Bicycle Shoppe and Diamond Nails.

Nexton Square is located adjacent to the Summerville Courtyard Marriott and the 320-unit The Parks at Nexton. Summerville is approximately 26 miles north of Charleston, SC via Interstate 26.

Charles Fitzhenry of RealtyLink heads the leasing efforts for Nexton Square. Greenville, SC-based McMillan Pazdan Smith Architects is the architect for the project and SeamonWhiteside of Charleston, SC is the Civil Engineer.

Nexton Square is slated to deliver in 2019 and will be fully built out by 2020.
